Your leaders need to take guidance from the Generals and transform that into action – sales & profit. Using battle tested methods, we bring your leaders through a series of training events to focus their efforts in achieving objectives that bring the entire company towards a defined goal. It is through leadership planning, problem solving, communications and people that your leaders will drive success.
1. Introduction & Leader Planning
This introduction provides the foundation for our program. Here we define roles, establish definitions and set the stage before getting into the basic Mission Essential Tasks of a successful leader. We give an overview of your Mission Essential Tasks to show how they are inter-related and how they will lead to greater sales and profit.
Students learn to plan their actions and deployment of resources (manpower, material & funds) in an effort to meet your Strategic Level guidance and build your business towards increased revenue and profit. This course coaches students to develop a set of Objectives that support their Goal. It synchronizes efforts with the Strategic Office, your boss, peers and subordinates. The Action Plans lay a foundation for your staff to meet the Objectives. Students will develop a Battle Rhythm and a set of Battle Drills.
Through the next several months, the instructor will work with the students to monitor their progress on the Action Plans. Although this is designed as a seven month program, the instructor will coach the students on their Action Plans for a period of ten months.
When attacking your enemy on the battlefield, the first thing is to disrupt and confuse his communications. Communications is the life blood of your business! Your leaders must send and receive communications every hour of the day.
Our course takes your leaders through a series of combat tested and proven effective ways of communicating both routine and critical information. It starts with defining “communications”. Then identify what/when to communicate and the means to pass that information. When your leaders master communication, they WILL be making sound and timely decisions to run your business into a profit.
We cover synchronization meetings, establishing a Common Operating Picture so everyone sees & hears the same information. Learn how to send and receive feedback. Students set up “running estimates” to keep informed about their environment. Importantly, students learn how to write an “Operations Order” to communicate plans.
3. Problem Solving & Decision Making
Students learn a proven process to solve problems such that your decisions provide the best outcome for your company in terms of revenue and profit. This course centers on teaching leaders the foundations of becoming a master at established problem solving techniques. We go through the problem solving steps and decision making steps. Then, we take a problem and walk you through the steps to make the best decision for a solution.
The real military training for this is often a five day painful event. We reduce the pain and coach the students to roll though the process efficiently. The Objective for this course is to provide the students with the ability to make sound decisions for almost any event.
4. Staff Development
People are your most import, and most expensive, resource. And your most valuable asset. This course teaches students how to properly manage the functions of the staff. Direct your staff to achieve the guidance from the Strategic Office, your boss and you. Your staff is the most important, and expensive, company resource. This course centers on properly managing this resource which can potentially provide exponential growth for the company. The instructor works with the students and your company human resource specialist to write staff development plans for their business.
Prior to the course, the instructor will collaborate with the company human resource specialist to ensure the lesson plan matches the company policy. This will also allow the instructor to place emphasis on HR policies your company wishes to improve.
This program is designed to bring a cohort of 10-15 Operational Level leaders through a seven month training event. Meeting once per month at their location, the program consists of a series of one to two day courses. Between the courses, students conduct practical assignments with guidance and mentorship.
A primary instructor is assigned. Some of the courses, or sections of a course, will be taught by other instructors to give the students a broader perspective.
Prior to starting the course, the instructor will spend a time with your leaders at their place of business to gain first-hand knowledge of your operation. This will enable us to adjust some of the course material to match your specific needs
We work to tailor our program to meet YOUR needs. You can select one or more courses in the order of your choice. Each course can be one day for the condensed version. Two days offers a more interactive event with practical exercises.
